Mike Greig will speak on: “Water Meadows on the Ock”
Mike Greig has been writing a book on the history of Garford for 12 years but was very surprised earlier this year to come across the remains of bedwork water meadows in Garford and in 3 neighbouring parishes. These features date back to the 17th century and were previously unknown in North Berkshire as far as he has been able to ascertain.

Roger Thomas will speak on his new book on the archaeology of Abingdon “England’s Oldest Town”, which is about to be launched.
