The Abingdon Area Archaeology and History Society, founded in 1968 and widely known as ‘AAAHS’, is the group for anyone interested in archaeology and local history in Abingdon and beyond.

 

We organise monthly talks on archaeological and historical topics, particularly relating to Abingdon and Oxfordshire. We also organise visits to local places of historic interest in the summer months for AAAHS members.

 

We encourage members to pursue their own research projects. AAAHS has a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to share this with others. We also collaborate with other local bodies, such as Abingdon Museum and the Civic Society.
